On July 29-31, the 2023 Academic Conference of Optical Society of China (OSC) was held at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). The conference was organized by the Optical Society of China and co-organized by Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Hubei Optical Valley Laboratory. The conference set up 22 topics, covering nearly more than 100 sub-topics in the field of optics and optical engineering. More than 2,000 senior experts, research elites, technical executives and young students from universities, research institutes and optical enterprises attended the conference to share the cutting-edge optical technology and discuss the way to transform the technical achievements.

Under the supervision of Prof. Xingjun Wang, Dr. Yichen Wu, a PhD student, gave an oral presentation on "Large-scale reconfigurable on-chip photon reserve pool". The oral presentation of Wu Yichen was selected as "Excellent Student Presentation". It is reported that a total of 897 oral reports were exchanged in the 22 topics of the conference, including 280 invited reports and 357 posted reports, and 50 excellent student reports were selected.
