The 2021 International Conference on Optical lnstrument and Technology (OIT2021) is the eighth jointly organized by the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE) and the Chinese Society for Instrumentation and Control (CIS). OIT2021 highlights key advances in optoelectronic instrumentation and technology, and the academic themes of the conference focus on optical systems, optoelectronic instrumentation, optical sensors, optoelectronic measurements, lasers and their applications, and micro/nano fabrication technologies and their applications. Due to the epidemic, the conference was postponed to April 8~April 10, 2022 and was held in online format. All graduate students from the Institute of Precision Optoelectronic Measurement Technology and Instrumentation attended the online meeting.

Under the supervision of Prof. Xingjun Wang, Zihan Tao, a PhD student of the Center, gave an online oral presentation on the topic of "High extinction ratio, low loss and broadband on-chip TE-pass polarizer for optical gyroscope". After the selection, Tao Zihan's paper won the "Outstanding Student Paper Award". It is reported that the conference included 108 papers in 8 topics, of which 17 papers won this honor.
