China Institute of Communications (CIC), hereinafter referred to as ‘the Institute’, founded in 1978, is a state-level institute registered in the Ministry of Civil Affairs, subordinate to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the business supervisor is the China Association for Science and Technology. The Society is committed to promoting high-level academic exchanges and organizes more than 50 large-scale academic exchanges every year, involving tens of thousands of scientific and technological workers. The Society has created many first-class academic journals, and sponsored China Communications (English version), Journal of Communications and Telecommunication Science, which are authoritative academic journals in the field of communications. According to the ‘Notice of the China Communications Association on the Collection of Top Ten Scientific and Technological Advances in the Field of Information and Communication in 2023’ (No. 44 of the Association [2024]), after the active recommendation of the branches and member units of the Association, and finally selected by the experts organised by the Association, the Centre's ‘Parallel Chaotic Lidar Technology Breaking through Time-Frequency Blocking’ was selected as one of the top ten scientific and technological advances in the field of information and communication in 2023.
