To implement the innovation-driven development philosophy and advance the construction of a science and technology powerhouse, while encouraging the domestic first publication of outstanding scientific papers in the information and communication field, the China Institute of Communications(CIC) has organized and implemented the 2024 Science and Technology Paper Incentive Program in accordance with the provisions of the "Management Measures for the Paper Incentive Program of the China Institute of Communications."
Among the 154 recommended papers, the research paper titled "Highly reconfigurable silicon integrated microwave photonic filter towards next-generation wireless communication", published in the journal Photonics Research by the team led by Professor Wang Xingjun and Researcher Shu Haowen from the Center, was successfully selected. This paper proposes a multifunctional, novel microwave filter chip based on silicon photonic integrated technology, which simultaneously addresses the system's requirements for extremely high reconfigurability and reduced control complexity. It provides broader frequency operating ranges and more diverse filtering capabilities for next-generation wireless communication systems.
