Haowen Shu is currently an Assistant Professor at the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Optical Communication Systems and Networks, School of Electronics, Peking University. His research focuses on silicon-based integrated optoelectronic information systems, including device performance optimization and system architecture design, with applications in data-center communications, microwave/millimeter-wave photonic signal processing, high-performance sensing, and computing. His current research interests include ultra-broadband optoelectronic devices and on-chip signal processing systems.
In recent years, he has published more than 50 journal and international conference papers in related fields, including three papers in Nature as a first or co-first author. He received the 7th Innovation Paper Award from the Chinese Society for Optical Engineering, was selected for the National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talents in 2020, and was named an Academic Rising Star in Microwave Photonics in China in 2022.
He has served as the principal investigator of several research projects, including a Young Scientist Project under the National Key R&D Program of China and a Young Scientists Fund project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
